“Sherlock Holmes had his pipe. Dorothy had her red shoes. Batman had his Batmobile. If we asked your friends what object they most immediately associate with you, what would they answer?” – The Daily Post
Now here is a question that is worthy of some pondering,
for how to answer best without fear of over posturing.
Dear Holmes was renowned for his spyglass, hat and pipe,
just as Dorothy for her ruby shoes and constant home-sick gripe.
The Dark Knight of Gotham City had his wings and batmobile,
but what of mine would incite a cry of “that’s Eddies” as a squeal?
At first I thought my jeans for they’re always very colourful,
with a pair in red, green and purple I’m always very cheerful.
But then I thought perhaps its my movie camera,
for catching sneaky clips of my friends singing Sinatra.
However these things, whilst memorable, are not quite true,
as I think the thing that most would say is my bag of bluest blue.
You see my bag is never far from hand when I venture out,
I carry it nearly everywhere, through rain and shine or drought.
Tis true it’s not the most glamorous, I got it from the local shop,
but its as big as a TARDIS on the inside and that takes quite some chop.
My bag is most important because it carries my daily feast,
Chocolate, celery and peanut butter, the fuel of a true artiste.
